The CubiScan 1000-VS is a ceiling-mounted, static dimension-scanning device which can work in conjunction with a heavy capacity floor scale. Its ceiling-mounted configuration maximizes efficiency by allowing omni-directional access to the measurement area. As well, it removes the sensing equipment from harm’s way and does not take up valuable floor space dedicated for operations and freight staging. The CubiScan 1000-VS utilizes advanced laser (FDA class II) and camera-based sensing technology—both of which are safe for operators and freight.
The CubiScan 1000-VS is designed to handle freight which is generally cuboidal in nature and has a measurement range of 1 cubic foot to 6 x 6 x 8 feet (1.8 x 1.8 x 2.4 m) at a mounted height of 15 feet 7 inches (4.75 m); its measurement resolution is 1 inch (25mm). Larger, customized versions of the system are possible.
With a PC and Quantronix’ Qbit interface software, the CubiScan 1000-VS can process multi-piece shipments (having parcels of the same or random sizes), initiate parcel tracking tasks, and prepare the collected dimensional and weight data to be transferred to the customer’s data processing system where appropriate dimension-based shipping charges can be applied. The system can be programmed to work with a wide variety of floor scale digital display units. Bar code label scanning and printing devices can also be used with the 1000-VS to create a turnkey cubing, weighing, and tracking workstation.
A one-year factory warranty on parts and labor is included; post-warranty maintenance agreements and extended warranty contracts are also available.
