In-motion Systems Used for Conveyor Lines

Using a revolutionary development in scale technology, the FreightWeigh System is able to weigh at speeds of up to 561 feet (171 meters) per minute. Additionally, the system is also capable of functioning with package intervals as small as 14 inches (350 mm), thereby eliminating the conventional requirement of one parcel at a time on the scale.

The FreightWeigh System is designed for use in high-volume material handling and sortation facilities. It can be used as a stand alone scale or in tandem with an in-motion CubiScan cubing systems. This combination forms a synchronized high-speed cubing and weighing system, capable of handling large quantities of freight at high rates of speed with minimal parcel gapping. The FreightWeigh System’s rapid and accurate operation make it ideal for automated parcel handling, shipping, auditing and manifesting applications. It can weigh freight in any orientation and is adaptable to most belt and roller conveyors.

The FreightWeigh System has RS232C communications output and can interface directly with Quantronix’ proprietary Qbit™ PC software, allowing thousands of data records to be buffered, combined with other data (such as dimensional data from a cubing system), and then formatted for transfer to other data processing hosts.
