Does exporting “updated records” contain data records from previous sessions?
Each record in the database is marked as they are updated, and will remain marked until they are exported. When exporting “updated records” all records that have this mark will be included.
How can you remove all the data from the database without having to delete each record one at a time?
From the main screen select File -> New. In the New Database dialog box, select the existing database file you want to clear and click save. You will be prompted to overwrite the existing file. Selecting Yes will clear all data records in that file.
I am unable to communicate with the CubiScan unit. What should I do?
Be sure that the serial communication cable is a properly connected NULL MODEM cable. Verify the proper COMM port is selected in the setup options in the software. If the system still does not communicate, verify that the serial port on your PC is operational (see your PC documentation).
What file types can I import and export?
The software has the ability to import/export comma delimited fields (data separated by commas) or fixed length fields (data in specific positions).
Where can I find a copy of the database layout for importing and exporting?
This information is provided in the software’s install directory or in the online documentation located on the CD.
