This new parcel scanning system has no moving parts, making the device user-installable and easily maintained. The simple overhead design of the 75 allows packages to be placed from almost any direction. CubiScan 75 Specifications

The CubiScan 75 is capable of measuring an object in a matter of seconds with a measurement capacity of up to 40” long, 28” wide, and 24” high. It has an impressive resolution of 0.2 inches, plus an integrated 10” color display, showing the measurement results for the user. CubiScan’s proprietary software interface, Qbit™, will pass accurate parcel dimensions to almost any shipping system.

The Cubiscan 125 is a small static cubing system that uses a combination of sensing technologies to measure and weigh irregular-shaped parts and components as well as boxed items. Small parts and non-cuboidal items are measured with great precision using infrared sensing technology, while larger boxed items are measured with ultrasonic sensors.

 

The Cubiscan 125 is commonly used to improve storage-space planning, carton size selection, repacking, check-weighing and shipment manifesting in medical, pharmaceutical, apparel, hardware, and consumer goods distribution. It has an integrated control panel/display, and outputs to a user-supplied PC. Capacity for boxes/cases is 24 x 24 x 36 inches with a resolution of 0.1 inches; irregular items are at 18 x 18 x 12 inches with a resolution of 0.05 inches. The 125 also includes an integrated, high-accuracy 50 x 0.005 lbs scale.

 

Each unit has one active serial communication port, one Ethernet port, and one USB port. Proprietary interface software, called Qbit™, accompanies the system and allows for menu-driven operator control, data storage/transfer and diagnostics. A mobile cart and useful accessories such as a portable power supply, handheld barcode scanner and label printers are available to create a completely mobile cubing, weighing and identification work station.

Features

The CubiScan 1200-AKL is a large-scale static dimension scanning device that can work in conjunction with a heavy-capacity floor scale (or in a stand-alone position when weight is not required). Its overhead-mounted sensor configuration provides a comprehensive view of the freight measurement area while allowing access from any direction. In certain cases (depending on location and facility characteristics) it can be ceiling-mounted, providing unobstructed access for the user and protection against equipment damage. The powerful and accurate sensors measure freight in any orientation and of virtually any shape, color, or package material.

 

The CubiScan 1200-AKL utilizes advanced Class 1 infrared laser sensing technology that is safe for operators and freight.  Two laser scanners are fixed to parallel guides that pass over the freight (normally taking 5 seconds). The system scans a three-dimensional measurement area without special illumination or contact.  In its standard configuration it is capable of measuring from six inches to 8′ x 8′ x 9′ (2.5 x 2.5 x 2.75 meters).  Measurements resolution is ± 0.5 inches (10mm) on length, width, and height.  Larger, customized versions of the system are available.

 

With a panel-mounted PC controller, touchscreen monitor, and integrated data collection software, the CubiScan 1200-AKL can process multi-piece shipments (having parcels of the same or random sizes), initiate parcel tracking tasks, and prepare the collected dimensional and weight data to be transferred to the customer’s data processing system. An accessory high-resolution digital camera and a special software module can be integrated to allow for convenient and reliable documentation of freight damage. Finally, the system can be programmed to work with a wide variety of floor-scale and digital display units. Barcode label scanning and printing devices can also be used with the 1200-AKL to create a turnkey cubing, weighing, and tracking workstation.

 

The CubiScan 1200-AKL is a type-approved (Legal-for-Trade) dimensioning device per NTEP (US), OIML/MID (EU) and NMI (AU).
